ROUGHAM ESTATE TRUST
Objectives
of the trust
The Trust is responsible for the woodland on the Estate and is engaged in reintroducing coppicing, ride widening, pond management and wildlife surveys.
The Trust funds the music education of the pupils at Rougham Primary School, as well as supporting two choirs and an orchestra based within the region.
The Estate is home to several Roman monuments and Rougham Hall which was bombed in 1940. The Trust has restored important historic buildings on the Estate, supports archaeological work and runs an oral history project.

The Rougham Estate Trust consists of over 3,000 acres of Suffolk countryside with ancient meadows, green lanes, oak-lined hedgerows, bluebells and orchids, parklands and arable fields.
